On April 20, 21 Chernihiv hosted a Ukraine – Visegrad Group (V4) meeting at the deputy ministers level on decentralisation issues and local self-government reform.
Ukraine was represented by the First Deputy Foreign Minister Nataliia Galibarenko and Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Building and Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine Viacheslav Nehoda.
Members of the V4 presented their experience of reforms, shared information on the achievements in this area.
The slovak side was represented by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic P.Burian, who arrived in Chernihiv and expressed full support to help Ukraine in the European way and reforms.
Numerous representatives of the Chernihiv region, domestic and foreign NGO’s, civil society participated in the second session of the event.
The next Ukraine – V4 meeting will be in June on energy efficiency and energy saving.
