The Forum was organized by charity Foundation “The Depths of Art”, in partnership with
Lviv Center for Urban History and with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Lviv City Council and Lviv Regional Council.
Multidisciplinary program of the Forum includes 80 art events, developed in collaboration by artists and researchers from Donbas, Lviv and Kyiv. The project will serve as a platform for communication between East and West, different environments and communities in Ukraine. The idea of the project is to show the diversity and multidimensionality of Ukrainian regions, using the cultural potential as a viable instrument to establish a dialog inside the country and to form an open and tolerant society. The Forum will present
regions through art, music, literature, theater, and cinema. The program also includes lectures, discussions, meetings with artists and researchers.
Through public discussions and artistic reflections on the past and present of Donbas the Forum will raise issues relevant for the country nowadays.
The “DONKULT” Forum will start on June 16 with two major events: Speech by Professor Hiroaki Kuromiyi “Enigma of Donbas”, 16:00 at the Great Hall of the Lviv City Council and presentation of the exhibition „DONKULT“, 19.00 at Lviv Palace of Arts. Lviv Opera House, Center for Urban History, Lviv Theatre, Lviv Philharmonic and Music Academy will also host events of the“DONKULT” Culture Forum. Some events will take place at the Museum of Ethnography and Crafts, Art Association „Dziga“, „City Workshop“ space,

Press conference on the occasion of the „DONKULT“ opening will take place on Monday, June 15, 12:30 at Lviv Palace of Arts (Copernic street, 17).
